privacy

Short version: CommWatch doesn't collect anything about you. No account, no analytics, no tracking, no ads. We don't run a server that your show data goes to. Everything CommWatch records stays on your Mac.
What stays on your Mac
- Your CCM address, username and settings.
- Your CCM password, encrypted with your Mac's keychain.
- Talker logs, alerts, RF history, snapshots, Dante recordings and transcripts. These live in the app's folder on your Mac and you can delete them any time.
Transcription runs on your Mac. Audio is never sent anywhere to be transcribed.
What the app connects to
- Your Arcadia CCM, at the address you type in, usually on the show network.
- Hugging Face, once, to download the speech model if you turn on live transcripts. Nothing about you or your show is sent, just the model download.
- Google Sheets, only if you use sheet sync. You sign in to Google yourself and CommWatch reads the sheet you point it at.
- eighty32.com and Apple, to load the "More from eighty32" app list and app icons. These are plain web requests with no identifiers attached.
Like any web request, those services can see your IP address. Their own privacy policies cover what they do with it.
Microphone
If you use the Dante recorder or remote listen, macOS asks for audio input access. CommWatch only uses it for those features and only while they're running.
Kids
CommWatch is a pro tool for show crews and isn't aimed at children. We don't knowingly collect anything from anyone, kids included.
Changes
If this ever changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
